How to Use the MuleBuy Spreadsheet Like a Pro

7 min read2026

The MuleBuy spreadsheet can be overwhelming at first glance. Thousands of rows, dozens of columns, and cryptic abbreviations make it look like a data analyst's nightmare. But once you learn how to filter and read it, the spreadsheet becomes the fastest way to find exactly what you want.

Start by understanding the column layout. The key columns are: Item Name, Category, Seller, Price, Batch Code, Size Availability, and Notes. The Notes column is where the magic happens. It contains QC observations, common flaws, and fit feedback from previous buyers. This is the most valuable data in the entire sheet.

Filtering is your best friend. Use the category filter to narrow down by Shoes, Hoodies, T-Shirts, or any of the other 11 categories. Then sort by price to see what fits your budget. If you are looking for a specific item, use the search function within the sheet. Most experienced buyers keep the filter on "Recent" or "Verified" to avoid stale listings.

Batch codes are the secret language of the spreadsheet. A batch code like "LW" or "OG" refers to the factory or production run. Some batches are known for being nearly identical to retail, while others have well-documented flaws. Before you buy, search the batch code on Reddit or in the community discords. You will find detailed photo comparisons and buyer reviews that the spreadsheet itself cannot show.

Price comparison is another essential skill. The same item can appear from multiple sellers at different prices. The cheapest option is not always the best. Cross-reference the batch code, check the seller's reputation, and look at the shipping total before making your decision.

Finally, use the spreadsheet as a starting point, not an endpoint. Once you find an item, visit the seller's page directly, review their recent feedback, and ask for pre-shipment photos if they are not automatically provided. The spreadsheet gets you to the door. Your own research gets you through it safely.
